Wherever you turn around people are drinking some kind of soda, there are everywhere, from the ever popular Coca Cola to all kind of different no-name brands.
Regardless of the popularity and clever marketing all of this are basically the same thing and will diminish your energy and testosterone.
The primary reason these drinks are so unhealthy is due to their large content of sugar. Sugar will give you quick burst of energy but it will raise your insulin levels and after the passing rush of energy it will inevitably fall and leave you feeling tired and lethargic. And all that unnecessary sugar and calories your body will turn into fat, which will increase your testosterone levels and clog your arteries. Just one can of Coca-Cola has a whopping 40 grams of sugar. This is approximately 8 times more than the average individual puts into coffee to sweeten its taste.
Another ingredient present in a lot of sodas, especially energy drinks like Red Bull is caffeine. While having a cup of two of coffee throughout the day can be healthy and give you a little extra boost, relying on caffeine to give you energy instead of healthy diet can be very damaging long term.
As more people have become aware of the dangers sugar can bring, the industry has come out with so called diet sodas which have no sugar, very little calories and are sweetened with all sorts of artificial sweetener. Staying fit and trim is usually good for your sex drive, but eating and drinking products with artificial sweeteners can be a total buzz kill.
